The
GGMAC will have a prominent children's tent with a variety of
activities that will encourage the growth of kids and adults alike
through interactive art and music programs. Activities
will include percussion workshops, sing alongs, a costume
parade, card board castles, carnival with sack races, bean bag toss
and games, puppet making and puppet show, hand crafts, dance, kid's
theatre performances and opportunities to see, meet and interact with
artisans and their craft.
Coordinating
our Children's Activities is Lauren
Southern,
a teacher at the Montessori School of Pensacola. She is a
graduate of Boston University in TV/Film and Education. She has
worked in children's television with "ZOOM" at PBS in
Boston and "Blue Peter" in London at the Children's
BBC. She has coordinated art programs at camps in Mississippi,
Alabama and New York and has volunteered at festivals around the country.
